      Gr 4-6-In this enlightening set, the causes, testing, treatment, and prevention of four health conditions familiar to children are addressed. Sidebars are interspersed throughout the text highlighting health facts, explaining related concepts, or relaying an individual's experiences. Charts and graphics further illuminate the subjects, making up for the adequate, albeit less than inspiring, stock photos that predominate. In addition to appearing in the glossary, vocabulary words are also defined at the bottom of the page they appear on, a nice feature for readers who dislike flipping to the book's end for clarification. FactHound.com is the only Internet source listed for further research.
